Morecambe & District Hockey Club are this year celebrating their 25th Anniversary with an end of season ‘Prom on the Prom’ and presentation evening.
The club was formed in 1985 following the success of Great Britain in the Olympics. By the end of 1985/86 season the club had enough players to run two mens teams, which were entered into the North West Hockey league in 1987. A third team was then form in 1990.
The womens section was developed in 1992, which now boasts 3 teams within the Lancashire leagues.
Morecambe Hockey Club continues to develop younsters through their junior section and within the local community. The success of the junior section can be measured by the large numbers regularly attending and progressing through to the senior section, with many representing North West and North England.

The ‘Prom on the Prom’ is being held on Saturday 27th March 2010 at The Clarendon Hotel, Morecambe.
Tickets cost £25 (£15 for U18s), which includes a 3 course meal, disco and presentations.
